I’m really looking forward to MOCCA’S smaller exhibition Street View as part of this year’s Contact Photography Festival. After doing a lot of research about street photography while writing an essay about Gabor Szilasi and Robert Frank three years ago, this exhibition features some of the best street photographers from the 20th century whose work I can’t wait to see!
Open Daily, a new series by Eugen Sakhnenko featuring photographs from Turkey.
My friend and fellow Ryerson grad Kiana Hayeri is a tour de force. She’s currently in Iran working on a photography project, and in the coming months will be travelling to Australia and beyond. I admire her work greatly, and encourage all of you to follow her inspiring and beautiful blog. You’re brilliant Kiana! And we miss you.
Afshan.
Another favourite from my shoot with the Smith family last month. I really enjoyed shooting these types of portraits, so if you any of my loyal followers know anyone interested in family portraits, I’m your gal!
My friend’s over at Knock Twice have partnered with Canadian Art magazine this week and put together an awesome prize pack giveaway! All you have to do is fill out a quick and easy survey. What do you win you ask? Only a snazzy Canadian Art t-shirt, the current issue, oh and a year’s subscription! Pretty cool, eh? So help KT celebrate their upcoming first anniversary and ring in an inspirational new year and get crackin’ on that survey!
